Obituary of Vera Emma Baguley
With abundant appreciation for the long life she lived, we say goodbye to Mom, Grandma, Nanny, and Auntie Vera. At 104 years of age, Vera left us on Sunday, December 22, 2019 to join her parents, brothers, sister, her loving husband Leonard and her cherished daughter Lynda. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Skinner (Regina), four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four nieces, one nephew, and a sister-in-law. Vera was a valued employee of Sears for more than 25 years and spent many happy and treasured hours with family and friends at Saskatchewan Beach. Here, she was often seen on a ladder cleaning the cottage windows. Vera followed the Riders for many years and we smiled as she “jumped” on and off the Rider bandwagon. She believed in being honest, working hard, and doing things right. Vera was appreciated for her desire to remain independent as long as possible. In her early retirement years, she volunteered at Qu’Appelle House and chose to spend eight years there. Her final years were at the Hillsdale Care Home, Four Seasons Care Home, and Grace Hospice. To all of the compassionate staff at these locations that made her feel welcomed and safe, we give a heartfelt thank you. It is the people that make the difference. In keeping with Vera’s private nature, no formal service will be held at this time. She will be interred in the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Columbarium, the church she was baptized in. In lieu of flowers to the family, please buy a loved one a flower or give them a hug. Tell them you love them. Tomorrow may be a different day.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Vera
