Obituary of Renie Stewart
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved wife, Kathleen Irene “Renie” Stewart, 71 of Westville passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her loving husband by her side.
Born in New Glasgow on March 27, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Kathleen “Kay” ( Horlick) Joudrey, Westville.
A quiet home person, Renie was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Renie had worked at the Aberdeen Hospital for many years. She had a favorite pass time of playing bingo, where she met many friends.
Renie will be dearly missed by her husband Robert “Bob”; sons; John Grant (Judy), Florida, Richard Grant (Angie), British Columbia and David Grant, Stellarton; grandchildren, Zackary and Jocelyn, brother, Willard (Dianne), Winnipeg; sister in-law Alice Joudrey, Westville; brother in-law Alden Arnold, Stellarton and many Stewart family in-laws and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased her brother, Earl Joudrey, sister, Sharon Arnold, niece, Cathy and nephew, Martin.
Sincere thanks to all of the Doctors and nurses of the Aberdeen Hospital and the VON for their care to Renie.
Renie is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Her funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Monday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Dr. Mary Taylor officiating. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care .
