Paul Girouard
1935 – 2019
Dieppe, NB – Paul Girouard, 84, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, December 22, 2019, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Saint-Paul-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Clorice and the late Emerise Girouard (born Duplessie).
Paul was a truck driver until his retirement with MacDonald Paving. He likes his cars to be polish, nice and clean; also liked to spend time outside, working in his garden and listen to music.
Paul will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Géraldine Girouard (born Robichaud); his children, Clarence (Maureen Kiervin) of Moncton, Emerise Bourque (Rhéal) and Linda Babineau (Armand) both of Dieppe; his two grandchildren, Céline and Mario (Melissa Hébert); his siblings, Victor (Micheline) of Mass, USA, Léandre (Norma) of Saint John, Jeannine Boucher (late Gérald) of Moncton and Noëlla Saulnier (André) of Saint-Paul; his three sisters-in-law, Cécile of Saint-Paul, Norma of Miramichi and Aline of Sainte-Marie; also several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Gérald, Ulysse and Aldorie.
Visitation will be held at Passage (625, Mountain road, Corner West Lane, Moncton) on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 9:30 am until time of funeral service at Passage Funeral Chapel at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to CHU Dumont Foundation (Dialysis or Palliative Care), the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
We, the family would like to thank the staff, the nurses and Dr. Shane Aubé at the Pallative Care and Dialysis Department at the hospital.
