Norma Ethel Palmer
Norma E. Palmer, 78, of
Moncton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at
The Moncton Hospital on Friday, December 13,
2019.
Born in Miscou Island, she was
the daughter of the late Lescel and Ethel (Wilson)
Vibert.
Norma retired as a bookkeeper
with Village Pharmacy in Petawawa, ON.
Norma spent the first part of her life as
a military wife. It wasn’t always an easy task, but she did
it with grace and ease. It was during this time she met her best
friends, Dorothy and Eileen. Although miles had separated them over
the years, they remained so close they could finish each
other’s sentences. As the years went on, she found her home
in Moncton. Her door was always open to whoever wanted to stop in.
Whether it was coffee or wine, she was there to listen, laugh, and
love. Her favourite times were welcoming her “sisters” from
Miscou, Lorraine, Patsy and Donna, into her home; early morning coffee
and late nights dancing around the bar will never be
forgotten.
Norma will be sadly missed by
her children, Roddy Palmer, Scott Palmer (Mike Bunnett) and Kendra
Palmer; grandchildren, Kelti (Liam) and Riley; sister, Marina
Fitzgerald and brother, Reginald Vibert
(Shirley).
In addition to her parents,
she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Palmer (2001) and
daughter, Cheryl Palmer and infant son, Randy
Palmer.
In true Norma fashion, a
reception will be held at her home on Wednesday December 18 from 3pm
until 8pm. She would have wanted anyone and everyone to stop by to
share stories and memories from the wonderful life she
lived
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of
arrangements.
In memory of Norma, donations
to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital would be appreciated. Online
condolences for the family may be shared on Fergusons Funeral Home
Facebook page or at
