Mme Fernande Mantha nee St Louis 1929

The family announces with sorrow, the peaceful passing of Fern Mantha on December 5 in her 91st year. Fern was surrounded by family. She is now reunited with her loving husband Romeo to continue their long-lasting romance and marriage of 64 years. Always the loving mother who will be dearly missed by her 5 children and their spouses Nicole (Jim), Sue (Lou), Peter (Louise), Denyse (Randy), Paul (Judy). A beloved grandmother of thirteen and great grandmother of 5, she was always happiest when surrounded by family. She taught us all how to enjoy and celebrate each day in her gentle and loving way. Fern had a beautiful flair with a paintbrush and a great appreciation for the arts. She grew up in North Bay, Ontario and studied at the University in Ottawa where she became a Lab Technologist. Fern enjoyed a long and successful career at The Lachine General Hospital. Upon retirement she was happiest spending her summer months on the shores of West Lake in Prince Edward County, Ontario. She was also very active with the Dorval Artist Association, her Bridge Club, St. Veronica’s Seniors group and enjoyed the Symphony and all performing arts.
Visitations will be held at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval on Wednesday December 11, from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9 pm. Please join us in a celebration of her life on Thursday December 12th at 10:30am at St.Veronica’s Church, 1300 Carson Avenue, Dorval.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Mme Fernande Mantha nee St Louis 1929
