Obituary for Michael (Mike) Patrick Bruen
Born Sligo, Ireland
It is with great sadness and regret that we announce the sudden passing of Michael at home in Hamilton. Beloved husband of 51 years to Carole Bruen and cherished father to Patrick Bruen (Shannon), along with their children Sadie, Myer and Ellis. He will be deeply missed by his siblings in Ireland. Seamus (deceased), Tommy (Mary), Eamon (Maureen deceased) Mary (Willy deceased) and Emily (Paddy), as well as his many nieces and nephews. Mike lived in London, England for 4 years and immigrated to Canada in 1965. He worked for White Farm in Brantford, the Carpenters Local 18, and the Plumbers Union. He spent many years in Fort McMurray in the oil sands. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He never forgot his beloved Ireland. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton or the Parkinson Society.
