It is with great sadness that the family of Marvin Ray Mosher, 75 of Rhodes Corner announces his passing on Friday, November 8, 2019 in Feltzen South.
Born in Feltzen South, he was the son of the late Titus and Lalia (Zinck) Mosher.
Marvin started his working career at the Lunenburg Foundry and then worked for a number of years in the heating and plumping business in Halifax. He then returned to work in the construction business putting in foundations for Michelin and worked there for over 29 years retiring in 2000.
Marvin was a faithful member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Rhodes Corner where he sang in the choir and supported the work within the church. Over the years he was a member of Zion Lutheran Church Male choir.
Marvin was a member of the Maritime Motorcycle Touring Association, the Bluenose Diving and Michelin Diving Clubs, and an Honorary member of the Dayspring and District Fire Department and in his spare time enjoyed bowling and a good game of poker with friends.
Above all, his family came first and they will remember with fondness and love the good times he shared with them all.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Gail, daughters, Denise Smith (Richard Leaman) Chilliwack, BC, Marlene (Kevin) Rafuse, Lunenburg, Teresa (Billy) Cannon of Canning; son, William (Nancy) East LaHave, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother, Everette (Pauline) Mosher, Feltzen South; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Daniel Marvin Mosher, brothers, Colin and William.
Friends are invited to share memories of Marvin with his family during visitation on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. Memorial Service to celebrate Marvin’s life will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, Upper LaHave. Rev. Svante Olson officiating.
