SIMPSON, E. L. Marlene (nee Pond) – surrounded by her loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Tuesday, December 24th, 2019 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late William Simpson (2019). Loving mother of Michele Hitchon (Ted Lindsay) of Bracebridge and Jeff Simpson (Kris) of Simcoe. Cherished grandmother of Brydon (Laura), Trevor (Aniki), Alayna & Logan. Proud great grandmother of Lennon, Asher, Kolbe, Taven, Reeve & Aislyn. Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Marion Pepper (Jim) of Simcoe and Robert Pond (late Myrna) of Dundas. Predeceased by her parents, Clarence & Frances Pond. Friends are invited to share their memories of Marlene with her family at the Woodhouse United Church on Monday, December 30th, 2019 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. A celebration of her life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kathryn Vance officiating. Those wishing to donate in memory of Marlene are asked to consider the Woodhouse United Church.
