Louise Catherine (MacIntyre) Glasgow, of Mira Road, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019, at Seaview Manor, Glace Bay.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Donald Hugh and Ruth Viola (Phillips) MacIntyre.
Louise was a member of United Heritage Church, Sydney. She was a former employee of Human Resources Development Canada, Sydney and prior to that, the Royal Bank of Canada, Sydney.
Louise is survived by her sons, Brian (Kathy) and her children, Meghan, Chelsea and Riley and Donald (Kim) and their children, Ryan (Alyssa) and Emily; and great-grandson, William. She is also survived by her stepbrother, Kevin Beaver, Sydney; sisters-in-law, Sandra MacIntyre, New Boston and Rene MacIntyre, Balls Creek; brother-in-law, Finlay Samson, St. Peter’s; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Glasgow. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her sisters, Phyllis Samson and Ruth (Alex) Smith; brothers, Donnie, William and Allister MacIntyre. Louise was also predeceased by her stepmother, Catherine (Pyne-MacIntyre) Beaver.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 5 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at United Heritage Church, Sydney on Friday, December 6 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Heather Wright officiating. Reception to follow.
Memorials in Louise’s memory may be made to United Heritage Church, Bereaved Families of Cape Breton or a charity of your choice.
