Obituary of Lemuel Sylvester Bigelow
Passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2019 at the age of 84. Predeceased by his wife Catherine Joan Bigelow (2010). Lem is survived by his 3 children: Shayne (Breigeen) Bigelow, Kim (Greg) Rock, and Sarah (Marshall) Bureau: and his dearly loved and adored grandchildren, Aoibhlinn, Zachary, Olivia, Mitchel, Danielle, Illa and Lucie. Lem was predeceased by his parents Robert and Alice Bigelow, brother Stanley and sisters Geraldine, Violet and Gloria. He is survived by his brother Don, sisters Margaret and Ella and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Lem’s family would like to give special thanks to the compassionate and caring staff of St. Charles Village, Bayshore, CarePartners, Dr. Qawi, the staff of the St. Catharines Nephrology Ward and Port Colborne Hospital’s palliative care unit. Your kindness, support and care contributed to our dad’s peace and comfort.
The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Armstrong Chapel on Thursday December 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Makey as celebrant. If so desired, donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
