Strevett, Jon (Ret’d Major DND CDII)…On December 13th, 2019 Jon passed away suddenly at Kingston General Hospital at the age of 87. Jon is predeceased by Patricia, his beloved wife and co-pilot in life for 52 years. Son of the late Eric & Kay Strevett, he was born in Brighton, England. Jon was a pillar of strength, lavish with praise and… Read More » love for his seven grandchildren: Melissa, Bradley, Rebecca (Adam), Rachel (Michael), Taylor (Tyler), Olivia, Cameron and his three great grandchildren: Angelina, Declan and Theo. He is survived by his four sisters: Janice, Jose, Judy and Jillian. An exceptional role model, he remained loyal and dedicated to his family and close friends. Jon spent his military career as a pilot, then transitioned to commercial, flying with Air Canada. For the past 47 years Jon called the Quinte area home. He spent his active retirement meeting new friends and enjoying activities such as; lawn bowling, shuffleboard, snooker, euchre, VON fitness classes and a strong supporter of local arts.
Visitation will be held at WEAVER – East, 29 Bay St., Trenton on Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral ceremony at 1:00 PM.
