JOHN BOYD
December 9, 1941 – December 29, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Boyd on December 29, 2019. John was born in Kenora, Ontario and moved to Winnipeg with his family at the age of eight. John worked in banking and with the Sask Provincial Government. He served on various boards and organizations. Served as Director on the PA Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the Life Time Achievement award, President of the PA and area Community Foundation, and Director of Catholic Family Services. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Andrea and daughter Karen Boyd. John is also survived by his brothers: Fred (Linda) and Jim (Janet); sisters-in-law: Vicki Kennedy, Charolette (Lloyd) Heywood and Therese (Les) Kurz; brother-in-law Andrew (Evelyn) Wach; along with nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Marjorie Boyd, brothers Ted and Jerry Boyd, sister Marjorie Holt and mother-in-law Anna Wach. John was fortunate to retire from a job he loved with the Provincial Government, Sask Housing. John loved to travel and he and Andrea took many trips to Mexico. John was a good father and he and Karen loved to do renovations to her house. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to St. Ann’s Senior Citizen’s Village Corp (2910 Louise St., Saskatoon S7J 3L8). A Private Family Interment will take place.
