1945-2019
Stiles, Joan Evelyn, 74, Debert, passed away suddenly,
Sunday, December 8, 2019 in Truro. Born in Yarmouth, she was a
daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Kinney) Ross. Joan was a Medical
Lab Technologist having worked at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital,
Yarmouth and later having worked at the Nova Scotia Agricultural
College, Bible Hill. She enjoyed the company of family and friends and
also having a good meal. She also enjoyed UCW, Presbytery, Journaling,
writing, scrapbooking, gardening, day trips like going to the beach
and stray cats.
After meeting the love of her life on skates, she is survived
by her husband of 50 years Douglas Stiles; son, John (Mari Ann),
Debert; grandson Jordan (Jessica) Antigonish.
She was predeceased by her Daughter Joy.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where funeral service will
take place on Friday, Dec. 13th at 11 am.
Reverend Valerie Kingsbury will officiate with a reception to follow.
Burial will take place at a later date in the Plains Road Cemetery,
Debert. Donations in memory may be made to the Colchester SPCA,
Yarmouth Regional Hospital Foundation Fund or to a charity of choice.
