Obituary of Jack Hewer
HEWER, John (Jack)
Passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2019 at WRH Ouellette Campus at the age of 82.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Helen Hewer, son John Hewer, daughters Lynn Stuart (Tim), Lori (Yvon Levesque) and Leigh Barron. Loving grandfather of Ashley Barron, the late Ryan Barron (2016), Jessica Hewton (Riley Jones), Robert Stuart (Gillian), Brittany Stuart, and Michael Levesque (Samantha Rivard), as well as his great-grandchildren Piper Browning and Livia Stuart.
Predeceased by his parents Albert (Heppel) Hewer and Edna (Chambers) Hewer. Dear sister of Donna McIntosh (the late Jack) and predeceased by Francis Hewer, Bob (Betty) Hewer, Darlene (Gord) Reynolds.
As per Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be on Saturday, December 14th, 2019 at the Stoney Point Sportsman’s Club, 6348 St. Clair Rd, Stoney Point, Ontario from 4:00 p.m – 7:00 p.m.
A sincere thank-you to all the staff at the ICU unit at WRH Ouellette campus, as well as the 7th-floor staff for taking such great care of Jack during these past 3 weeks.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honour of Jack’s grandson Ryan Barron, to help build the Barron Bowl at Atkinson Park in Windsor Ontario. Donations can be made out to City of Windsor for Atkinson Skateboard Park, P.O. Box 1607, Windsor, Ontario, N9A 6S1. Arrangements entrusted to Reaume Funeral Home Inc., Tilbury.
