Passed away at the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron on
Saturday, December 28th, 2019 at the age of 64.
Daughter of Pauline Leblanc (predeceased). Granddaughter of Ned & Aldoria Leblanc (both predeceased). Special niece of Yvonne & Edgar Beauchamp (both predeceased), Moe (predeceased) & Shirley Leblanc, Gabe & Rita Dupuis (godparents, both predeceased), Henry & Sheila Leblanc (both predeceased), Gerald & Ellen Leblanc, Simone & Bill McAuliffe, Borden & Anita Dowdall, and Alonzo (predeceased) & Armeline Penton. She was a very special cousin to many.
Helen was a lifelong resident of Naughton. After her Mom passed away in 2008, she moved to the Elizabeth Centre where she received excellent care. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for Helen as she was loved by every person who worked there, especially her nurses, PSWs, and volunteers who took her on outings. Under the guidance of Cathy Oja, Helen attended the Friendship Centre in Lively for many years where she made many friends.
Special thank you to Lianne Pelissier, for spending time with Helen, letting her watch movies on her iPad, and helping her make phone calls to her Aunt Simone & Aunt Anita. Thanks to Meaghan and Julie who took her on outings.
She will be greatly missed by everyone and she’s now reunited with her mom and the rest of the family who have passed on before her.
Resting at Lougheed Funeral home (252 Regent Street at Hazel Street) from 6-8 pm on Thursday, January 2nd. Funeral mass at St. Christopher’s Church in Whitefish on Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at 11am. Interment at the Whitefish Catholic Cemetery with luncheon to follow in the church basement.

Friendship Centre in Lively or the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron.
