Helen Clair Lively (Day)
December 08, 1936 – December 29, 2019

Helen Clair (Day) Lively- Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia
December 8,1936 – Dec. 29, 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother & sister. Gram as she became known to many, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister & friend to all who knew her. We feel overwhelming peace that she is in her final resting place, beside her partner for life, Harvey & her infant daughter Teresa Lynn.
In the early years she grew up, in and around Chaswood, NS before moving to Bedford. She worked in the laundry and food service business, before meeting the love of her life, Harvey. They married & settled in Middle Sackville, raising their children, running HF Lively Trucking & L & M Surplus store. They were inseparable, through their 60-year marriage. They loved travelling with friends & family, stopping at yard sales, mini-puts & Bluegrass concerts. They spent many wonderful weekends at the cottage in Cooks Brook and fabulous vacations in Florida.
Gram loved tending to her immaculate gardens, that she created! Gardening is an art and she was at the top of her class!
She was the eldest daughter to Sidney and Helen (Malay) Day. She was predeceased by brothers, Stuart, Donald & Lawrence. She is survived by her brother’s Sidney and Leonard and sisters Ivy and Lorraine. Loving sister-in laws Rosie, Elaine & Denny, as well, many nieces & nephews.
She will be missed dearly by her son Wayde (Marilyn Clancey) and daughter Terry-Ann (Derrick Jardine). Grandchildren Brandon (Donna), Alex, Sydni and Justin. Great Grandchildren Owen and Chloe.
The family would like to thank the wonderful and compassionate staff at the Windsor Elms, for providing Helen with the best care possible, during her final journey.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A celebration of Helen’s life will be held in the spring. Condolences & donations to a charity of your choice, can be made atwww.dartmouthfuneralhome.ca
