It is with great sadness that the family of the late Heber Parsons announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday December 25, 2019 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 96 years. Born at Parson’s Harbor, NL Heber was the son of the late George and Mary (nee Prosser) Parsons. He was also predeceased by his wife of 64 years Pearl (nee Drake) on February 19, 2011. Brothers; Henry (Marie) Parsons, Ronald (Margaret) Parsons, Hartley Parsons, step sister Cora (Freeman) Spencer. Sister in law Vinnie (Ben) Keeping and brothers in law; Ben Drake and Alex Drake.
Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his children; Joyce (George) Seaward of Port aux Basques, Melvin (Mary) Parsons of St. John’s NL, Dean (Nora) Parsons of Holyrood NL. He will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren; Jill (Mark Tucker) of Kippens NL, Jamie (Nadine) of Goose Bay NL, Jason (Renee) of Dibsbury AB, Great grandchildren; Colton, Dawson, Erin, Alex and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay Road. Funeral services will take place on Sunday December 29, 2pm at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Jane Allen, interment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Donations in memory of Heber can be made to The Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center Foundation.
