DEVEAU, Hazel – Age 99, of La Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, formerly of Halifax, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in La Villa. Born in Salmon River, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Evangeline (Melanson) Deveau. She is survived by her sisters, Regina Doucette and Janey Rhodes, both in La Villa Acadienne, Meteghan; nieces and nephews, Rose Marie (Ken) Davidson, Karen Deveau, Dr. Russell (Evelyn) Deveau and Irvan (Linda) Deveau. She was predeceased by her husband, Leance; brother, Walter; sister, Evelyn in infancy; niece, Dr. Diane Deveau. Visitation will be Sunday, December 22, from 2-4 p.m. in Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral mass Monday at 1:30 p.m. in St. Alphonse Church officiated by Rev. Honoré Kouassi. Burial is to follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Salmon River. Donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery Fund or to a charity of your choice.
