It is with great sadness and broken hearts we announce the loss of our beloved husband, father and most of all grandfather “Nanou”, Guy Dubois of Vankleek Hill passed away at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Friday, December 20,2019 at the age of 58. He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife Kelly Murphy. Proud and cherished father of Jennifer-Lynne (Francis), Jessica (Hughes), Jocelynne (Eric) and Jean-Francois “Buck” (Annie). Beloved “Nanou” of Wesley, Charlie-Rose, Indie-Rose and Désirée. Dearly loved brother of Luc (Nicole), Pierre (Line), Lynne (Sean), Sylvie and Marc-André. Predeceased by his parents Liliane Lepage and Antonio Dubois and best friends, his brothers Charles and Michael. Guy will be sadly missed by his dear mother-in-law Evelyn “St-Laurent”. Much loved brother-in-law of Mary Jo, Michael (Linda), Maureen (George), the late Joe (Nicole) John, Tom, Billy and Kathleen (Bruce). Fun loving uncle who will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Guys ability to cut wood was amazing, he loved the outdoors. He had a passion for hockey, best damn goalie you would meet on the ice. Guy’s unique style would stop a puck and leave you wondering how he did it. But his fun didn’t stop there, it was after in the dressing room having a cold “Blue” with his friends. Guy recently retired after more than 30 years of dedicated service at Ivaco. He was an excellent cook and prepared great meals for his family and friends.
Family and friends may visit at Saint-Grégoire-de-Nazianze Catholic Church 137 Higginson Street, Vankleek Hill on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 9 am to 11 am followed by a Mass of Christian Funeral at 11 am. In memory of Guy’s passion for food and he always wanted to make sure people had plenty of food, a donation to the Vankleek Hill Food Bank C.A.F.E Fund PO Box 23, Vankleek Hill, Ontario K0B 1R0 or to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation 40 Ruskin Street H2408, Ottawa, Ontario K1Y 4W7 would be greatly appreciated.
