1935-2019
Grace A. Howland of Scotch Settlement, NB, wife of the late Vernon E.
Howland, passed away December 17, 2019 at Hospice Fredericton. Grace
was born at Staples Settlement, NB in 1935, a daughter of the late
Albert R. and Mary I. (Brewer) Price. She enjoyed quilting, knitting,
spending time with her family and friends and preparing many meals for
them to enjoy. Another of her interests was the research and
preservation of family memories. Grace was a member of the Scotch
Settlement United Church.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Janet), Calgary, AB and Merrill
(Janice), Hanwell, NB; her grandsons, Brandon (Jaclynn), James
(Alyssa) and Andrew Howland (Lindsay); a sister, Ruth Ann Carney
(Dave), Ottawa, ON; a brother, Dow Price (Marjorie), Keswick Ridge,
NB; a sister-in-law, Rosalie Jones (Dave), Nackawic, NB and several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 12 noon until 2
p.m. Funeral service will be held after the visitation at 2 p.m. from
the funeral home chapel with Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating.
Interment will be at a later date at the Scotch Settlement Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Grace, the family
has suggested Hospice Fredericton or the Canadian Cancer Society.
