SCOTCHER, George William (Bill/Sonny) – Bill died peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, December 7 at Royal Garden at the age of 94. Son of Ann (Plant) and Percy Scotcher, and brother of Derrick (Elsie), all deceased. Bill will join his darling wife, Ethel Marfleet, who predeceased him in 2005. Left to mourn this lovely man are his three daughters – Geraldine, Judy (Dave Black), and Jenny (Bill Leahy). He was a loving Grandad to Christopher, Rosemary, Claire (Blair), Jessica (Brett), Jonathan, Billy and Trevor, and Great Grandad to Rowan and Quinn.
Bill will be laid to rest alongside Marf in a private interment at Little Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to the Sinai Health Foundation (Mount Sinai Hospital), Orthopaedic Research, at 1.877.565.8555 or at supportsinai.com. A celebration to honour his life and to recognize his 95th birthday will take place in the summer. Arrangements entrusted to Highland Park Funeral Centre.
