Passed away peacefully at Grove Park Home on Thursday, December 19, 2019 surrounded by loving family. Frances Varcoe in her 96th year, loving wife of the late Clifford Varcoe. Dear mother of Barbara (Brian) Reid, Carol (the late Jerry) Forget, Wayne (Shirley) Varcoe, Brian Varcoe and Jennifer Varcoe. Special grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 13 and great-great grandmother of 1. Frances will also be fondly remembered by her brother George Chappel and sister Ethel Byles as well as her many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by sisters Velma Pirie, Muriel Coulson, Jean Jennett, Mary Prince and brothers Leonard Chappel and Jim Chappel. Friends and family will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. and Monday from 2 p.m. Funeral service will be in the Chapel on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 3 o’clock. Spring interment in Barrie Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to Grace United Church, Grove Park Home or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
