Obituary of Edward Thomas Stevenson
Stevenson, Edward (Eddie) Thomas, at P.R.H.C on Wednesday, December 25, 2019. Eddie passed away to meet his maker after a short illness at the age of 87 surrounded by his loving family. Eddie was born in Toronto and retired to Peterborough in 1988 after a good portion of his working life commuting to Toronto where he was a structural engineering technician for 43 years. Ed was a long time member of the Otonabee Oldtimers Hockey Association where he played for various teams usually alongside his special friend Paul. Ed was predeceased Cathy, his soulmate, best friend and wife of 43+ years. Dear father of twin sons Jeff (Krista) and Tim (Janet) and devoted step-father to Ryan Brooks (Angela) and Michelle McCracken (Dale McKergow). Dear Grandpa to Alexandra Ellis (Dan), Juliana Brooks and Jacob and Nicholai McCracken, Corey, Jessica Stevenson and great granddaughter Ember. Predeceased by Brother Doug and fondly remembered by sister-in-law Donna. Predeceased by parents Marjorie and Edward Stevenson. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Church, on Saturday, January 4, 2019 at 10:00 am, Keene Road followed by a reception to be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road. A private family Inurnment will be held at a later date.
