DIANE SANDRA MINAKER
January 11, 1949 – December 17, 2019
With heartfelt sadness the family announces the passing of Diane Minaker at her home with family at her side.
Diane will be dearly missed by her loving husband Bob, daughter Joanne (Bryan Hogeveen) and grandchildren Ayden, Taryk and Maylah, son Brian (Alissa) and granddaughter Lauren, brothers Peter (Karen) and George (Lory) Hucul; mother-in-law Margaret Minaker; uncle Arnold Page and Aunt Irene Morrison. Diane will be reunited with her parents Peter and Jonina Hucul and her dear Nana Sigga Page.
Born in Winnipeg, Diane attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate, graduated from the University of Winnipeg and enjoyed a remarkable teaching career in Seven Oaks School Division.
Diane was loving, humble and kind. She married her best friend, was a proud mother and felt blessed to be loved as Uma by her four grandchildren. Her strength, courage and compassion left an inspirational legacy.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Pastor Michael Kurtz officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Lutheran Church and CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
