Carole Dorothy Henley – age 77, Kentville, passed away
peacefully Thursday, December 19, 2019 in the Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December
11, 1942 in St. John NB, she was the only daughter of the late Dorothy
and Arthur Dickie. Carole spent her teenage years in Halifax and
graduated from business college with a secretarial diploma and worked
in the lab at the VG Hospital in Halifax until moving to Kentville and
starting her family. Carole was a very kind and loving person who was
not afraid to strike up a conversation with complete strangers. Carole
very much loved her family and would do anything for them. Carole
always looked forward to spending three months with her loving husband
in St. Petersburg, Florida and enjoyed having family come and visit.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Tyrone Henley;
loving sons, Stephen (Lisa) and Michael (Jane) and daughter, Janice
Strickland (Mike); cherished grandchildren, Nicole and Courtney
Strickland, Lauren, Olivia, Brett, Cohen and Jaylen Henley. Following
Carole’s wishes, there will be no visitation and a family graveside
burial will take place. No flowers by request, donations may be made
to the SPCA, Kings Branch. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
