It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our brother and brother-in-law Basil Charles Nicholls. Basil passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at the age of 82, surrounded by love, sunshine, music, family and staff.
Beloved husband of the late Maureen (nee Gammon). Loving brother of Frances Lawson (Robert) and Barry (Myrna).
Basil enriched our lives with his gentle spirit, loving ways and kindness and infectious smile. Baseil will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Our heartfelt thanks to the management and staff of the Courtyards in Kanata and special thanks to the Palliative Team from Bruyere, St. Elizabeth Health and the Champlain Local Health Integration Network.
Visitation will take place at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road) on Tuesday, January 7th 2020, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 8th at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 3891 Old Richmond Road, Ottawa at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or the Ruddy Shenkman Hospice, Kanata would be greatly appreciated.
