14 décembre 2019
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Assunta (Sue), on Saturday December 14th, 2019. She was 52 years old, too soon to leave this earth, with so much to live for. She has touched profoundly so many lives with her energy, spirit and honesty. Sue was a valued nurse, loved by her co-workers and patients alike.
She is survived by her beloved husband Giorgio, her cherished son Yuri, her mother Antonietta Pietrantonio (late father Adolfo), her sister Teresa (Giovanni), her sister-in-law Emma (Saverio), her brother-in-law Aldo, father-in-law (late Luigi Di Roberto), her nephew and nieces Anthony, Eva, Giuliana, Veronica, her relatives and friends.
Thank you to all the health care workers at the MUHC who looked after her.
And a special thank you to her Geriatrics colleagues who showed unwavering support.
Sue will be dearly missed and always in our hearts. She will forever be an angel.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm, and Monday, December 23, 2019 as of 9:30 am at Complexe Yves Légaré.
A funeral service will be held on Monday December 23, 2019 at 11:00 am at Madre Dei Cristiani Church, 7935, rue Lefebvre, and thence, to the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation of your choice, the Ceders Cancer foundation, Lymphoma Society of Canada or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Death notice for the town of: Anjou, Province: Quebec
To Sue’s family,
I am sorry to hear of Sue’s passing. I knew Sue since nursing school at Vanier College. I remember studying for exams at Sue’s house on Sundays eating salad from her garden.
Thoughts and prayers to Gorgio, Yuri, Terri, Sue’s mom and to the rest of the family.
