Lewis, Addison Murdock – 89, Moncton, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2019 in Moncton Hospital with loved ones by his side. Born in Lower Five Islands, he was a son of the late Millard and Freeda (Eagles) Lewis. Addison worked in the lumber business for sixteen years, in the construction industry for sixteen years and as a bus driver with the Colchester East Hants School Board for thirteen years. Upon his retirement, he moved to Moncton where he and his wife, Eileen, resided until his passing. He loved to dance and was a member of the Good Time Seniors’ Dance Club for twelve years. Addison was also a member of the Onslow United Church. He is survived by his wife, Eileen; son, Stephen (Heather), Moncton; grandson, Emeri Clarence, Moncton, Vincent Murdock, Moncton; brother, Harold (Lorna), Glenholme, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Iva, Ruth and Jean; brothers, Derald and Austin. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. with a funeral service following at 12p.m. on Thursday, December 12th with Rev. Carolyn Wilson Wynne officiating, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, N.S. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Addison’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
