Robert Hal Ramsay 19312019

Robert Hal Ramsay
1931-2019
Hal Ramsay of Riverview, passed away Monday, December 30,
2019 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital. Born
in Moncton he was the son of the Late Havelock (H.T.) and Dorothy
(Blakney) Ramsay. He grew up in Sackville, N.B. on his
parents’ western horse farm where he fell in love with the
beautiful girl next door. He said when you have the best you
don’t have to look any further. It was on the farm
tinkering, that he developed a passion for engines. He was a
Master Mechanic and Motor Vehicle Inspector with CN for over
24 years. He was an avid gun collector, who loved time on
his motorcycles and time at the trailer in Murray Corner.
Many hours were spent around the campfire with shared memories and
laughter. Hal often had a warm grin and a twinkle in his
eye. He very much enjoyed Carolyn and Jessica singing his favorite
songs. Most important to Hal was Ada, and spending time with
his loving family. He was a great list maker and teacher. Every story
had a life lesson.
He’ll be dearly missed by his wife, Ada; daughter Evelyn
Ramsay (Ozzie Auffrey); son Bertrum Ramsay (Carolyn); grandchildren
Dan Auffrey (Jennifer), Jessica Ramsay; great grandchildren Jorryn
Auffrey and Lilly Auffrey.
A celebration of life will take place at Cobb’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview
(869-2007) on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 5-7 pm. The
interment will take place at the Sackville Cemetery at a later date.
Donations made to the Five Points Cemetery or a
memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by
Hal’s family. Online condolences may be expressed
