PATENAUDE, Denis – Mr. Denis Patenaude at the Cornwall Community Hospital – McConnell Site on Sunday December 15, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Pierrette (née Lemieux) Patenaude. Loved father of Andre Patenaude (Karen), Nicole Chennette (James), and the late Suzanne Hickley (Robin). Sadly missed by his 5 grandchildren Michelle, Marissa, Jennifer, Eric, Stephanie; and 5 great-grandchildren Luca, Mateo, Samuel, Amelia, and Nora. Dear brother of Reina Trudel (late Richard), Linda Roy (Pierre), Marie Dupuis (Donald), Hélène Couture (Clarence), Armand (Lorraine), and Richard (Marielle). Predeceased by his parents Armand and Dolores (née Murphy) Patenaude; brother Maurice (Emilia), and sister Claudette Bissonnette. Also survived by his brother-in-law Bob Lemieux (Nicole), and son-in-law Robin Hickley (JoAnn). Denis will be missed by many friends as well as members of the Cornwall Curling community where he spent so much time playing and also volunteering in the kitchen. Resting at the Wilson Funeral Home – Boulerice Centre 218 Montreal Road, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 PM. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 2900 Second Street, East, Cornwall on Thursday December 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall. If so desired, contributions in his memory to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
