Obituary of Olive Estabrooks
Olive was born on May 28th, 1936 in Saint John, NB to Mary Louise (Ross) and George Campbell. She was a proud graduate of Saint John High School and the New Brunswick Teachers College, before enjoying a successful 35 year career at various local schools. She was a dedicated member of St George’s Church and now the Church of the Good Shepherd, where her extensive volunteer work included pastoral care and outreach. Family, close friends and her passion for golf were among the many things that made her life worthwhile.
Olive is survived by her grandson Craig Bell Estabrooks (Emily Teed), her daughter-in-law Cindy Bell (Manford Rideout), and her close family Lois, Gerry, Brad, Stacey, Julia and Ben Shaw and friend Jackie Clark. In addition, she is survived by an extended family, including several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her only son Kevin Estabrooks, her sister Audrey Estabrooks (William) and her brother Walter Campbell (Patricia).
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday, November 28, 2019 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held from The Church of The Good Shepherd on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice, The Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or Donor’s choice. Online condolenses can be placed at www.BrenansFH.com
