Obituary for
Marjorie (Mary) Danko
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Marjorie (Maggie) Danko on October 30, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Marjorie was born in Norquay, Saskatchewan on September 6, 1944. She was raised on the family farm in Hyas, Saskatchewan with five older brothers who spoiled her. At the age of 19 after completing high school she left the farm and went to Saskatoon to complete her education and start her Administrative career. At 25, she left Saskatoon for Edmonton to find better opportunities. She spent 50 years in Edmonton where she met her husband of 47 years, Mike, and together they raised two children. After retiring she was thrilled to become a Baba to three boys.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Mike; son, Rodney (Celine); daughter, Andrea (Christa); and her three grandsons, Ethan, Eric and Aiden; and numerous nieces, nephews and family.
Prayer Service Monday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 10825 – 97 Street, Edmonton.
