It is with utmost sorrow that we say goodbye to our dear Very Reverend Deacon, Doctor, Goran Popović, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 27, 2019 at Juravinski Cancer Centre, following his hard-fought battle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Aleksandra, daughters Nataša and Melanija, son-in-law Marko and godson Aleksandar, along with many family, kumovi and friends in Canada, Serbia, Croatia and beyond. His welcoming smile and big heart will be greatly missed by all. The family would wholeheartedly like to thank Dr. General, Dr. Fernandes and Dr. Simunovic along with the entire staff of C3, F4 and E4 at Juravinski Cancer Centre for their care and compassion during his battle.
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Rd E., Hamilton) on Sunday, December 1st, 2019 from 2-4pm and 6-9pm, Pomen will be held at 7:30pm. Funeral Service will take place at Holy Transfiguration Serbian Orthodox Monastery (7470 McNiven Rd, Milton) at 11am on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 with reception to follow.
