George’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Hedley Vaters announce his passing at Western memorial Regional Hospital on November 19th, 2019 at the age of 80yrs. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Annie of 58yrs: his children: Gary (Marilyn), Todd (Lisa), Rhonda (Bruce) Janes. His grandchildren Courtney Strickland, Brittany Vaters, Christopher Janes and Ryan Vaters. Great Grandchildren Caden and Kylan. His siblings: Ruth Crummey (NB), Reuben Vaters (Julie), Ivor Vaters, Fred Vaters and Evelyn Rowsell (Ken). Sisters and Brothers in law Ernest Dalley, Marion Dalley (Wally), Bessie (Gord) Hynes, Melvin (Faye) Dalley, Ray (Bev) Dalley, Syliva (Bill) Dalley, Gloria (John) Hurley, Helen (Ian) Fitzgerald, Allan (Wanda) Dalley, Beatrice (Gerald) Parsons, Sharon (Randy) Russell, Sandra (Elmo) Keeping and Velma Dalley, and furry companion: Smokey. He was predeceased by his parents: Reuben and Eliza Vaters. His brothers in law Bertrum Dalley, Gerald Dalley and Clyde Crummey; sister in law Barbara. At George’s at request, cremation has taken place, family and friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday, Nov 22, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9pm from where the funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Nov 23, 2019 at 2pm with Rev. Alice Moores officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
