Sandra “Anita” Howe
It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra
“Anita” Howe announce her passing on October 24, 2019 at the
Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on August 9, 1943, in Bath, United
Kingdom, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget (Meehan)
Bullock and sister to Rebecca.
Anita moved to Canada from the UK with her young family in
1969 and lived in Ontario for many years before coming to Fredericton
later in life. After raising her children, she returned to school to
study social work at Sheridan College. In recent years, she enjoyed
taking annual trips with her good friend, Pat Bond, keeping in touch
with long-time friends from her school days, and spending time with
Anita was the mother of Karen, Paul and Christopher and
mother-in-law to Gerry, Anna and Rada. She was also a proud
grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren: Reilly, Sophie, Noah,
Mihailo, Milijana and Maksim. She will be deeply missed by all her
family and by her friends in the Fredericton community and
A memorial service will be held at McAdam’s Funeral
Home on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 2 pm with Fr. Maria Arokiam
officiating. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to
Canadian Diabetes Association.
