Obituary of Robert George Acre
Bob passed away peacefully at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville on Friday October 25th, 2019 in his 69th year. He is survived by his wife Marlene, his brothers John (Julie), Steve, Butch (Julie), many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife, Velma and his parents, Dorothy and George. Bob is remembered for his love of the outdoors, hunting, fishing, plaid shirts, ball caps and red socks. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Canfield Department Station #5 for 30 years. The family would like to thank Dr. Blake and the many PSWs for all their support. Family will receive friends at the Ballard Minor Funeral Home, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Monday October 28th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday October 29th at 1pm. Interment Canfield United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob to Canfield United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
