Randy Matthews 2019

Randy Donald Matthews, age 63, of Stratford passed away peacefully at home on October 23, 2019. Born in Guelph, July 21, 1956, son of the late Donald and Ida (Archibald) Matthews.
Randy worked in International Technology with Scotiabank until his retirement. In retirement Randy spent many hours volunteering with different organizations including the Stratford Perth Museum where he was Board Member and Treasurer, Festival City Rotary Club and the Stratford Optimist Club where he was Past President and Past Lieutenant Governor.
He is survived by brothers Terry (Marlene), Brad (Heather). He will be remembered by nieces Mackenzie and Stephanie and by nephew Taylor. Also survived by aunts Joan Knight and Joan McCrystal.
Randy’s family would like to thank the medical staff of London Regional Cancer Program, Ottawa General Hospital, CarePartners Stratford and all of his friends for their care and support of Randy and the family during his illness.
Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, October 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 28, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the Stratford Perth Museum, 4275 Huron Street, Stratford. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph.
