1948-2019
Following a courageous battle with cancer and with her family by her
side, Maureen Lynn Gee of Currie Siding, NB passed away peacefully at
Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on the evening of October 14,
2019.
Maureen was born in Toronto, ON, on November 9, 1948. She was the
daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (Preston) Paxton. Maureen
leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years, Jon Gee; her daughters,
Debra Davenport (Reg) of Perth-Andover, NB, Dawn Dickson (Wayland) of
Perth-Andover, NB, Donna Lagacy (Darren) of Grand Barachois, NB; her
son, Jon Gee Jr. (Tammy) of Upper Kingsclear, NB; thirteen
grandchildren and ten great grandchildren with two more on the way.
Maureen was predeceased by her parents; her grandson, Leigh Davenport;
her sister, Colleen Elliott; and her brother, Robert Paxton.
Maureen worked a many different jobs during her life. Her most recent
job before retirement was delivering mail for Canada Post. She was
also a very active member of the Rowena Pentecostal Church.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Friday from 6-8
pm. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral which will be
held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 1 pm from the Rowena Pentecostal
Church. Father Curtis Sappier officiating. Interment will follow in
the adjoining cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
for Breast Cancer Research would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
