Manuel Joseph Pitre, husband of Florence (St Pierre) Pitre of Veterans Health Unit, Fredericton, passed away at his late residence on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the age of 86.
Born in Jacquet River NB, he was the son of the late Charles and Pearl (Guitard) Pitre. He was retired from NB Power as a Heavy Equipment Operator, a member of Our lady of Annunciation Roman Catholic Church, a member of Knights of Columbus and also served in WW2 Germany.
Besides his wife Florence, he is survived by 4 stepdaughters, Rosanne Carr (Larry) of Fort McMurray, Lyne Couture (Burt) of New Maryland NB, Johanne Munn (Philip) of Doaktown NB and Renee McAulay (John) of White Court AB; his Stepson, Yvon Couture (Shawyan) of Doaktown NB; his brothers, Gordon of Jacquet River NB and Norman of Black Point NB, 11 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Genevieve, Birdene , Kathleen and half brother Ralph Guitard.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 11 am at Our Lady of Annunciation Roman Catholic Church with Father Godwin Kalu Officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of Davidson’s Funeral Home, 622-7464 and online at, your family-owned, family-operated funeral home.
