MACRAE, Laurie Frances
In hospital surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Born in Bearbrook, ON, on May 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Frances (nee Costello) Olmstead. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years Ronald MacRae; her children Terry (Debby), Janet (Henri Bureau), Donna (Bruce Bean), Bob and Arlene (Cal Moores). She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren as well as her dear sister Marlie (the late Donald Hardy). She is pre-deceased by her brothers Bill (Lucy) Olmstead and Rick (Kay) Olmstead. Laurie will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many dear friends. A very special and heartfelt thank-you to the incredible doctors, nurses and support staff at the Montfort Hospital and Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital. A Celebration of Laurie’s life will take place at the Pinecrest Remembrance Center, 2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa, on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Laurie may be made to the Bruyère Foundation.
