Kathleen Merrills 2019

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Kathleen Merrills on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the age of 94 years.
She is survived by her three children, Daniel (Kathy), Craig (Dina) and Kathleen (Michael); four grandchildren, Michael (Suzanne), Elizabeth (Tanner), Jennifer (Craig), and Casey (Summer); seven great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Kathleen was predeceased by her husband. George.
Kathleen was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on June 26, 1925. She spent her younger years in Edmonton in the 1930’s. Kathleen met George Merrills at the beginning of the Second World War and they married after the war in 1948. Kathleen loved being a homemaker and raising their three children in the Hudson Bay Reserve in Edmonton. When George retired they spent many years travelling, they especially enjoyed spending time at their condo in Hawaii. After George’s passing she relocated to her condo overlooking the river valley. She continued to travel with friends and enjoyed time with her family. Keeping with Kathleen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service was held. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Kathleen Merrills 2019..
