Carolyn’s Obituary
KENNEY, Carolyn Dale – 81, of Barrington Passage, It is with great sadness the family would like to announce her passing on Sunday, October 27, 2019, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born on The Hawk, Lower Clark’s Harbour, June 3, 1938, to parents Russell and Doral Nickerson. She was a hard worker and enjoyed cooking, knitting, shopping and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children; daughters, Phyllis (Rodney) Shand, Gwen (Randy) Nickerson, Kathleen (Franklin) Chetwynd; Cindy Kenney; sons, William Jr. (Alison); St. Clair (Barb); Bob Martin (Claudine); sisters, Linda, Beatrice; brother Gary Nickerson; grandchildren, Jenna, Shaun, Christopher, Cassie, Joshua, Zachary, Tommy, Blair, Andrew, Matthew, Adam, Becky, Benjamin; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, William Kenney Sr.; daughter, Brenda Darlene; and an infant at birth. There will be a visitation held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. A funeral service will take place, Wednesday, October 30, at 4 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, with Richard MacAdams officiating. It has been requested there be family flowers only. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the VON or the Roaslin Nickerson Care Fund.
