It is with great sadness that the Family of Peter Buchholz announces his passing at his home on September 7th, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Born in Danzig, Germany, Peter eventually settled in Newfoundland. He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Martha Buchholz, his brothers Wolfgang and Klaus, and sisters Elfie and Erie. Left with fond and loving memories are his daughters Laura (Jeff) and Andréa (Grayson) and their mother Irene, as well as his closest friend and companion, Lorraine. Peter was also a proud Grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren; Myles, Willa, Simon and Henry. He will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends in Germany, Newfoundland and across Canada. As per Peter’s request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at Carnell’s funeral home on September 13th, 2019 from 2pm-6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a local charity that supports and helps animals.
