Patricia “Pat” Maureen Cupples
1953 – 2019
Patricia Maureen “Pat” Cupples (nee Shrimpton), 66, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away on 5 September 2019 at Grace Hospice in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She has left us too soon.
Pat was born in Winnipeg to Marjorie Shrimpton (nee Smith) and Richard Shrimpton on 13 April 1953. She worked at Manitoba Telephones (MTS) for many years, was an avid cribbage player, enjoyed travelling, and loved her dogs.
Pat is survived by her son, David, daughter, Jennifer, and large extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm, 25 September 2019 at the Army Navy Airforce Veterans’ hall (ANAVETS unit 283), 3584 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB. Interment has already taken place at Chapel Lawn cemetery in the Lasting Tribute Chapel.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, please direct a donation to or volunteer your time with: Cancer Care Manitoba; or Grace Hospice (via Grace Hospital Foundation); or the pet rescue shelter in your community.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the WRHA palliative care team and also the staff and volunteers at the Grace Hospice for making the past several months as comfortable as possible with their incredible compassion and kindness.
