Obituary of Kimberly Ann Carter Battiste
On Friday August 30th, 2019 our hearts were filled with sadness as our loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, Kimberly Ann Carter Battiste, passed away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 52 years with her loving family by her side.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Johnny Battiste of 28 years, daughters, Megan (Corey) Keeping, Jodie Battiste, and Mallory Carter (Taylen Musseau), her pride and joy grandchildren, Lauren and Casey Keeping, her parents, Ivan and Pearl (nee Cooper) Carter, sisters, Rhonda (Elias) Lushman, Tena Carter (Jason Hodder), brothers and sisters in law, Cora (Art) Kettle, Elizabeth (Willoughby) Bolt, Florence (Jim) Cochrane and a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends and beloved cat, Miley. She was predeceased by her father and mother in law, John and Emily Battiste and sister-in-law, Linda Deanna Battiste.
In keeping with Kim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends and family on Monday, September 2nd from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 3rd from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at 4:00 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Kay Short officiating with interment to follow at a later date.
