POTHIER, Julien – Age 69, of Bear Cove passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Meteghan, he was a son of the late Delbert and Emma (Robichaud) Pothier. Julien was a scallop fisherman for 32 years and a volunteer firefighter with the Meteghan Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and playing cards. He is survived by his wife, Connie; son, Wayne (Venessa) Pothier; stepchildren, Julien Theriault and Christianne (Simon) Maillet; siblings, Real, Myra (Robert) Deveau, David (Alice), Gerard (Holly), Claire (Barry) Walker, Eric (Suzanne); brothers-in-law, Roy and Kenneth (Louise); sister-in-law, Dorothy (Eddie); many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife, Barbara; sister, Joan. Visitation will be 7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday, September 24th, in Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Alphonse Church officiated by Rev. Honoré Kouassi, with burial to follow in parish cemetery. Donations may be made to Jacky Comeau & Friends Cancer Help Fund Association.
