Memorial Donation
Armsworthy, Joshua (Josh) L.F.
It is with broken hearts that we announce that heaven has opened its gates and welcomed Josh on Sat. Sept 7/19. Josh was born on May 20th, 1997 in Halifax, NS to Michelle and Dean Armsworthy, and has passed at the young age of 22 years old. Even though he passed much too young, he lived a very full life. His childhood was filled with countless adventures and great memories with his family as they traveled the world together, taking up to month-long trips while he was in elementary/junior high, and having visited over 20 different countries. He lived a life full of hobbies, which included scuba diving, dirt biking (having spent many summer days hitting the trails on the dirt bike with his father), and building and working on his cars (including buying and rebuilding his first car, Nissan 350Z, at the age of 15). Josh also loved spending time with his many friends. Over the last few years of Josh’s life, he was very involved with completing his Engineering Degree, doing the first two years at Saint Mary’s University and the final years at Dalhousie University. He would have graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in April 2020, making time for his friends and hobbies all along the way. Josh is survived by (mother) Michelle and (father) Dean Armsworthy and (sister) Megan, grandparents Nickie and Carl Armsworthy, aunts Karen Armsworthy (Sal), Carla Rowlings, Caron Rambeau and Nettie Connolly (Larry), and uncles Frank Rambeau (Louise), Greg Armsworthy and Doug Armsworthy, and his many cousins. Josh is predeceased by grandparents Elizabeth and Bill Rambeau and uncle Leonard Rambeau and aunt Brigette Rambeau. Josh was a brilliant man with many talents, a mind that always thought outside the box, and he was always able to find a way to make the impossible work. He was taken too soon from this world and will be missed by all that knew him.
Please join in celebrating Josh’s life on Wednesday, September 25th at 10 am at Woodlawn United Church in Dartmouth for his memorial service. Formal attire not required for the church service.
As well as, there will be a Celebration Of Life held at Auburn Drive High School on Wednesday, September 25th from 700pm-930pm, once again with everyone welcome. Wear bright and odd matching colors, and your most patterned socks, just as Josh always wore.
Donations in Josh’s honor and memory are preferred in lieu of flowers and can be made to Hope for Wildlife.
