Obituary of Frieda Kathleen Skelton
SKELTON- Frieda Kathleen (nee Deterling) formerly of Port Colborne passed away at the Woodlands of Sunset in Welland on Sunday, September 15, 2019 in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late David Frank Skelton (1998) for 53 years, loving mother of Marilynn (Walter) Malace, Ronald (Linda) Skelton, Dana (Larry) Amadio, Jeffery (Cindy) Skelton, dear grandmother of Brigette (Justin) Ring, Wally Malace, Karen (Josh) Hyde, Steven Skelton, Andrew (Meaghan) Skelton, Melissa (Jeff) Beaver, Lucas Amadio, Lindsay (Chris) Pacilli, Laura Skelton and Jeffery Skelton, great grandmother of Scarlett and Alexis Ring, Ian, Noah and Clare Hyde, Joshua and Benjamin Beaver, Abigail and Emmaline Pacilli, sister-in-law of Margaret Allen and Joyce Chambers. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Mary Deterling, her sisters infant Irene and Hilda Shaubel. Frieda was a faithful and long-time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. The Skelton family will receive visitors at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 200 Erie Street, Port Colborne on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Meleg officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Lutheran Hour or a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne.
