Obituary for Edith Kovacs
Surrounded by family on September 23, 2019 at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia, Edith Eleanor Kovacs (nee Jones) graduated peacefully at the age of 84. Beloved wife to Andy. They were in their 65th year of marriage. Loving mother to Ann and Victor Henderson, Ken and Cathy Kovacs, and Debbie Kovacs. Proud grandma to Brad and Gillian Henderson, David Henderson, Sarah and Matthew Dudley, Megan and Gunhild Ramsay-Kovacs, Jessica and Terry Posthumus, and Jared Kovacs. Devoted great grandmother to Madailynne, Oliver, Charlotte, Archer, Jakob, Alexis, Hauk, Karissa, Michael, Lara, Jayme, Elissa, Catherine, and Bella. Loving sister to Jerry Jones, Marilyn and Charlie Pole, and Christine and Ron Hannon and sister-in-law to Judi Jones, and Nancy Jones. Edith will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Predeceased by her parents Ken and Elinor Jones and her siblings Earl Jones, Larry (the Late Shirley) Jones and Jim Jones. The family would like to thank C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia, their Doctors, Nurses, caregivers, and staff for their exemplary care of Edith. They have shown compassionate care toward her and her family for over 62 years. A memorial service will take place at Needham-Jay Funeral Home Wyoming Chapel, 650 Broadway St. Wyoming on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1p.m. with one hour of visiting prior to the service. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the C.E.E. Hospital Foundation (www.ceehf.ca).
