It is with deep felt sadness that we inform you that David lost his battle with cancer, early morning on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at home with his family surrounding him. Beloved husband of Dr. Shari Caplan, father of Ryan, Logan, and Zachary. Loving son of Frances Schanfield and the late Allan Freedman, brother of Glen, and Bruce and Katie. Brother-in-law of Philip and Susan, and Jason and Gena Caplan. Uncle of Megan, Michael, Lexie, Maya and Daisy. Service at Benjamin’s Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West for service on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in the Beth Torah Congregation Section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery.
